Payment and delivery
Payment options
We understand that weddings can cost an arm and a leg. So we offer a range of flexible payment options, which should help with your cash flow in the run up to the big day.
Paying the deposit when you place your order
When you place your order with one of our Smooch Advisers, we’ll ask for a third of the total cost. This can be paid by credit card, cheque or cash. You can also pay by bank transfer if you’d prefer.
Paying the balance of the ring price
The balance is the price of your rings minus the deposit you’ve already paid.
You have two main options when it comes to paying the balance; you can discuss these options further with your Smooch Adviser and decide which one you’d prefer.
Option 1: Pay the balance in one go
When the rings are ready to be delivered to you, we’ll text to tell you and to ask for the balance which can be paid using our payment link www.smoochrings.co.uk/invoice Please use the order number as the reference.
If you paid your deposit by cheque or cash, you can make a card payment over the phone. We also accept cheques and bank transfers – please call us for more information.
We’ll then post your rings to you by Special Delivery (and will text you again so you know they’re on their way). The gifts for your bridesmaids and Best Man will be in the same package.
Option 2: Spread your payments with our interest-free payment scheme
We don’t do any credit checks and this isn’t a hire purchase (HP). All we do is take a Direct Debit payment each month without any interest whatsoever. You can spread your payments over any period up to two years.
So if your balance is £350 and you want to pay it off over ten months, you’d just pay £35 a month. Payments are usually set up for the first day of each month, but we can easily agree a different day that suits you better.
Once you’ve paid the balance, we’ll post your rings to you by Special Delivery (and will send you a text so you know they’re on their way). The gifts for your bridesmaids and Best Man will be in the same package.
Delivery
Your rings will be sent by fully insured Royal Mail Special Delivery – usually for delivery on a Saturday (because it suits most of our customers best). Royal Mail Special Delivery guarantees to deliver 98% of packages by 1pm the day after posting.
If you’d prefer your rings to be delivered on a different day, just let your Adviser know (or contact us and we’ll make a note of it).
If we have problems with receiving the balance payment from you or if your direct debits fail and we are unable to take any more payments, we may, after 2 months of trying to contact you by all means possible, have to dispose of the rings.
